ELA and Math CAHSEE Resources
There
are excellent study aids available for students who are having trouble passing
any or all parts of the CAHSEE. These can include flash cards, study guides,
classes, one on one tutoring, and more. While none of them are one size fits
all, and not all of them will be ideal for every student, there is bound to be
at least one study aid available that can make a difference in a particular
student's test scores.

Reading Comprehension Standards and PowerPoints
2.0 Reading Comprehension (Focus on
Informational Materials) Students read and understand grade-level-appropriate
material. They analyze the organizational patterns, arguments, and positions
advanced. The selections in Recommended Literature, Kindergarten Through
Grade Twelve illustrate the quality and complexity of the materials to be
read by students. In addition, by grade twelve, students read two million words
annually on their own, including a wide variety of classic and contemporary
literature, magazines, newspapers, and online information. In grades nine and
ten, students make substantial progress toward this goal.
